SETTING THE STAGE FOR NES #31

Since its inception in 1993, the Nigerian Economic Summit (NES) has evolved into Nigeria’s preeminent platform for institutionalised public-private dialogue on economic management and development policy. A joint initiative of the Federal Government and the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), it has played a central role in shaping national reform agendas, strengthening policy coherence, and catalysing private sector engagement in nationbuilding.

This Summit will argue that unless reforms are institutionalised and refocused around five interconnected pillars—Industrialisation, Infrastructure, Inclusion, Institutions, and Investments—Nigeria risks losing a generational window for meaningful transformation. These pillars are not aspirational slogans; they are practical levers for increasing productivity, attracting quality investment, building resilience, and improving the quality of life for all Nigerians.
